Last week, I had the opportunity to attend a unique and transformative experience at Balance Health Studio – the "Slow Flow Healing + Gong" session. As someone who has practiced yoga and guided meditation before, I thought I knew what to expect. However, this session proved to be something entirely different and profoundly impactful.

The Setting
The studio itself set the tone for the experience. Located on the top floor of a beach house, the space featured large windows that overlooked the Gulf, offering a breathtaking view of the sunset. As I entered the room, I was immediately enveloped by the soothing scent of incense, which helped to create a calming and inviting atmosphere.
The Sound Experience
One of the most striking aspects of the session was the sound. The humming of the gong and the gentle rattling of seedpod shakers filled the air, creating a soothing and meditative soundscape. The gong's deep, resonant tones seemed to wave over my body, inducing a state of deep relaxation, while the seedpod shakers added a intricate and organic element to the experience.

The Yoga and Healing Session
As the session began, our instructor Whitney guided us through a series of gentle yoga poses and breathing exercises. The combination of movement and breath work helped to release tension and prepare our bodies and minds for the healing portion of the session.
The healing techniques used by Lynelle during the session were subtle yet powerful. The instructor utilized light touch and other energy healing modalities to help balance and restore our energy centers. Although I couldn't see what was happening, I could feel a sense of warmth and tingling sensation throughout my body, as if my energy was being gently adjusted and realigned.
The Aftermath
As the session came to a close, I found myself in a state of deep relaxation and inner peace. I felt grounded, centered, and rejuvenated, as if I had just returned from a mini-vacation. The other participants in the class shared similar sentiments, with many of them assuring me that I would have an incredible night's sleep – and they were right! That night, I slept more deeply and soundly than I had in a long time.
Reflecting on my experience at the "Slow Flow Healing + Gong" session, I am grateful for the opportunity to have tried something new and transformative. The combination of yoga, healing, and sound created a unique and powerful experience that left me feeling refreshed and restored.
If you're considering trying a session like this for yourself, I highly recommend approaching it with an open mind and heart. Leave any preconceptions or stereotypes about healing and guided meditation at the door, and allow yourself to be fully present in the experience.
Looking ahead, I plan to make these sessions a regular part of my self-care routine. I'm even considering bringing a friend or my boyfriend along for the next one – after all, who says a date night can't do both - connect us and be restorative?
